Mechanical Engineer – Concentrator Projects

About the role

Join the Concentrator Projects team at Mount Isa Mines as a Mechanical Engineer. You will support the delivery of capital and sustaining projects across multiple processing plants, working closely with operations, maintenance and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver capital projects from scoping and design through to installation.
• Manage project budgets and schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Perform engineering calculations, design reviews and risk assessments.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and ensure compliance with site and statutory standards.
• Conduct and report on planned and ad‑hoc safety inspections and audits.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical engineering capability.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proactive problem‑solving attitude with a strong commitment to safety.
• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
