About the role

Join Cummins as a Mechanical Apprentice and gain hands‑on experience diagnosing and repairing a range of Cummins engine products. Working under the supervision of qualified technicians, you will develop the skills needed for a career in the engine industry.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the diagnosis of mechanical issues on Cummins engines across automotive, industrial, marine and mining applications.
• Support the repair and overhaul of engine components under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Participate in on‑the‑job training sessions and formal TAFE coursework.
• Maintain a safe and organized workshop environment.

Required profile

• Positive attitude with a strong eagerness to learn.
• Right to work in Australia and completion of Year 12 or equivalent.
• Excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Willingness to rotate across regional sites and different engine product lines.
