M&E Technician (Electrical)

About the role

Egis is seeking an experienced M&E Technician with electrical qualifications to join the maintenance team responsible for Transurban’s Sydney Southern Network, including tunnels and open‑road motorways.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair HV/LV electrical distribution systems across a 40 km network of tunnels and motorways.
• Service HVAC, exhaust, fire protection, mechanical ventilation, water treatment and drainage systems.
• Work on rotating 12‑hour day/night shifts, including nights, weekends and occasional public holidays.

Required profile

• Valid electrical licence and White Card.
• Australian C class (or higher) driver’s licence and right to work in Australia.
• Experience in industrial or roadway equipment maintenance, preferably in tunnel environments.

• HV/LV electrical distribution systems.
• HVAC and exhaust system maintenance.
• Fire protection systems.
• Mechanical ventilation systems.
• Water treatment facilities.
• Drainage and tunnel sump systems.
• HV switching and Full ARC licence (highly desirable).

What we offer

• Base rate of $50.51 per hour with night shift loading (+30%) and weekend double time.
• Rotating 12‑hour roster (4 on/4 off or 5 on/5 off) with overtime paid at 200%.
• 5 weeks annual leave and RDO accrual.
