Maintenance Crew – Civil Workers for Sydney Southern Network

About the role

The Maintenance Crew team performs routine and urgent civil maintenance to keep motorway and tunnel assets safe, clean and serviceable. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor on a rotating roster that provides 24/7 coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out site inspections, landscaping, cleaning and incident clean‑up.
• Assist with traffic control activities and coordinate breakdowns or emergencies.
• Support night closures and other maintenance activities on the Sydney Southern Network.

Required profile

• Civil construction and maintenance experience, including landscaping.
• Strong problem‑solving ability, customer focus and ability to work effectively as part of a crew.
• Current unrestricted NSW driver’s licence and relevant licences or tickets for assigned activities.
• Commitment to WHS and environmental requirements.

Required skills

• Construction White Card and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
• Manual handling, first aid (including defibrillator use and CPR), confined space awareness.
• Experience with planned maintenance reporting software and electronic communication systems.
• Qualifications for working at heights, EWP operation, hazardous materials awareness and SDS.
