MC, HC and HR Heavy Vehicle Drivers

About the role

Choice One represents several transport and logistics providers in Western Australia and is recruiting professional MC, HC and HR drivers for immediate starts. Roles cover metropolitan general freight delivery, regional multi-drop delivery, and long-haul runs, with rosters suited to day shifts, regional hours or a path to permanent employment.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy vehicles from HR rigid trucks up to MC side tipper combinations according to your licence class.
• Carry out metropolitan general freight deliveries efficiently and in line with scheduling protocols.
• Load and unload freight at depots using forklifts, tailgates and pallet trolleys.
• Run regional transport routes from Perth to major regional hubs and perform side tipper haulage for long-term regional contracts.
• Work with depot supervisors and warehouse dispatch teams on load sequencing and workflow priorities.
• Follow a safety-first approach: pre-start checks, fault reporting and adherence to fatigue management laws.

Required profile

• Valid MC, HC or HR licence with a clean, verifiable driving history.
• Proven competence with Road Ranger box transmissions for metropolitan positions.
• Demonstrated side tipper experience (essential for Bunbury and Albany roles).
• Flexibility for overnight regional stays or 12-14 hour rostered days.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol screen and a pre-employment medical.

Required skills

• Heavy vehicle operation (Road Ranger box transmission, side tipper combinations)
• Forklift (LF) licence ticket, highly regarded for Malaga warehouse handling
• Problem solving and resilience in fast-paced logistics environments
