Mathematics Teacher

About the role

Greenwood College, a school in the Western Australian Department of Education, is seeking a Mathematics Teacher for a permanent, full-time position starting in Term 1, 2027. The post is advertised as part of a recruitment pilot that simplifies teacher applications: a mandatory CV template is used, and only two AITSL domain responses are required at application stage.

Key responsibilities

• Teach Mathematics, ideally covering Year 11 and 12 ATAR and General Mathematics courses.
• Plan and deliver differentiated learning programs that challenge high-achieving students and support those at academic risk.
• Deliver engaging, inclusive and student-centred lessons for a diverse range of abilities, including multi-age groups.
• Use ICT to enhance teaching and learning and create positive, supportive learning environments.
• Support students from EAL/D backgrounds and liaise with colleagues, parents and external partners.

Required profile

• An eligible teacher qualification and registration.
• Australian, New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency or a valid visa with work rights for the term of appointment.
• Application for a WA Working with Children Check and consent to a criminal history check with a Screening Clearance Number.

Required skills

• Knowledge of the Western Australian Mathematics Curriculum.
• Experience teaching Year 11 and 12 ATAR and General Mathematics is highly desirable.
• Ability to integrate ICT and to manage a diverse, multi-age classroom.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
