Materials Technical Assistant – Warehouse & Logistics

About the role

The Materials Technical Assistant will support warehousing, logistics and material handling activities for the Alkimos Sea Water Alliance project. Reporting to the site supervisor, you will ensure safe loading and unloading of plant, containers and racking, and maintain accurate control of all materials from receipt to issue.

Key responsibilities

• Operate authorised plant safely, including loading and unloading of vehicles, containers and racking.
• Manage the site materials control system, ensuring compliance with company policies and continuous tracking of materials and equipment.
• Report overages, shortages, non‑conforming or damaged items and handle material returns.
• Liaise with ASWA personnel to record receipts, resolve discrepancies and coordinate timely delivery of equipment and materials.
• Prioritise work flexibly and assist with audits of indoor and outdoor storage facilities to maintain proper care and custody.
• Travel to project sites and other client facilities as required.

Required profile

• Flexibility to prioritise tasks and travel as needed.
• Experience in warehouse or logistics environments, preferably on construction sites.
