Market Development Executive – Wine Sales (Perth)

About the role

Join one of Australia’s most iconic wine companies as a Market Development Executive, driving brand presence across Perth and regional Western Australia. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will have autonomy to grow the market, develop new business, and showcase premium Australian wines to trade and consumer channels.

Key responsibilities

• Build and expand brand presence across the Perth market, with potential to extend into regional WA.
• Develop and maintain relationships with store managers, fine‑wine specialists, trade customers, and independent retailers.
• Collaborate with the WA distributor sales team to identify on‑premise and off‑premise opportunities.
• Execute in‑store promotions, tastings, and staff training across Endeavour and Coles channels.
• Increase brand visibility through shelf‑space gains, fridge placement, and off‑location displays.
• Identify new business opportunities and funnel leads through the distribution company.
• Support direct‑to‑consumer events, wine dinners, and food‑and‑wine shows.
• Conduct at least two national store tastings per month and meet agreed sales targets.
• Attend occasional visits to Margaret River for brand activities.

Required profile

• Experience in liquor retail, hospitality, or a sales representative role.
• Genuine passion for wine.
• Proven ability to build relationships and develop new business.
• Strong commercial and sales focus with a drive for growth.
• Self‑motivated, organised, and confident working independently.
• Ambitious to advance a sales career; WSET qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
