MARC Manager – Senior Mining Maintenance Leader

About the role

WesTrac is seeking an experienced MARC Manager to lead the delivery of a major Maintenance and Repair Contract (MARC) for key NSW mining customers. Reporting to the Regional Manager – Hunter Valley, you will own safety, operational, commercial and customer performance across a large‑scale mining maintenance operation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safe and successful delivery of MARC operations, meeting contractual obligations, customer expectations and KPIs.
• Drive fleet reliability, maintenance performance and asset availability to maximise customer productivity.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders as the primary WesTrac interface.
• Own contract commercial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, reporting and P&L accountability.
• Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high‑performance safety culture.
• Identify and implement operational improvement initiatives to enhance fleet performance and contract health.

Required profile

• Extensive leadership experience in mining, heavy mobile equipment, maintenance, engineering or reliability environments.
• Proven success managing large‑scale maintenance contracts or mining service agreements.
• Strong commercial acumen with responsibility for P&L, budgeting and cost control.
• Ability to build influential relationships with customers, senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Maintenance Management or a related discipline.

Required skills

• Technical understanding of Caterpillar or similar heavy mobile equipment.
• Mining fleet maintenance expertise.
• Asset management knowledge.
