Manufacturing & Project Operations Coordinator

About the role

Randstad is recruiting, on behalf of a leading manufacturing organisation, a Manufacturing & Project Operations Coordinator based in Adelaide. The role sits between the manufacturing and project teams, keeping complex manufacturing activities planned, coordinated and delivered on time and to the required quality. It is a site-based or office position reporting to the Project Manager and Manufacturing Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Production planning: coordinate work orders, update schedules, track manufacturing milestones and flag potential delays
• Project administration: maintain project files, manage document control (drawings and specifications) and monitor deliverables against schedule
• Procurement and inventory: raise purchase orders, follow up supplier deliveries, conduct stocktakes and alert management to material shortages
• Systems and reporting: enter daily production data into ERP/MRP systems, track labour hours and maintain manufacturing KPIs
• Quality and compliance: keep quality, safety and environmental records, support internal and external audits and coordinate training and competency documentation
• Stakeholder liaison: act as the main contact between project, manufacturing, procurement, quality and warehouse staff, and with external suppliers and contractors

Required profile

• Quick thinker with strong organisational skills and the ability to handle competing priorities
• Problem-solving, critical thinking and attention to detail
• Clear verbal and written communication, able to give clear instructions
• Solid understanding of construction and manufacturing processes
• Resilience under frequent task changes and time pressure in a major project environment
• Ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing; 2 years of relevant experience listed in the metadata
• Desirable: a White Card and tertiary or trade qualification
