Manufacturing Frontline Manager – Night Shift Potato Lines

About the role

Lead the Night Shift Potato Lines team (35 operators) from 10:30 pm to 6:30 am, fostering a safe, engaged and high‑performing culture while delivering on safety, quality, productivity and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop frontline teams, driving engagement through daily huddles, recognition and feedback.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to resolve operational challenges and meet safety, quality, cost and service goals.
• Champion safety and wellbeing by ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and operational standards.
• Optimise labour utilisation and shift performance to achieve productivity and cost objectives.
• Use operational data and continuous‑improvement methodologies to identify opportunities and deliver sustainable performance improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in food manufacturing or production.
• Proven track record of delivering results in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments.
• Strong people‑leadership skills, including coaching, performance management and building engaged teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management abilities across Operations, Engineering and Quality.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HACCP principles.
• Understanding of GMP standards.
• Experience with continuous‑improvement principles and methodologies.
