Manager or Senior Manager - Decision Modelling

About the role

EY-Parthenon is looking for a Manager or Senior Manager to join its Decision Modelling team in Brisbane, part of the national valuations and decision support modelling team. You will manage, deliver and review a wide range of modelling engagements that help clients make critical business decisions, while growing the market presence and leading the winning of work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial modelling projects for management planning, M&A, financial reporting, tax and regulatory compliance, restructuring and corporate strategy.
• Identify issues and propose strategies related to the procedures executed.
• Take a leadership role in report generation and detailed financial modelling.
• Build and nurture relationships with internal and external clients.
• Collaborate with team members, mentor colleagues and stay up to date on business and economic trends.
• Pursue new business through client proposals and presentations, identifying client needs and tailoring solutions.
• Mentor and develop junior team members through delegation and hands-on training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with around 5+ years of modelling experience, or a master's degree with around 3+ years of related experience.
• Degree in finance or accounting with aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis preferred.
• Experience in team leadership, business development and client management.
• Ability to manage project expenditure against budget and guide team members to complete deliverables.

Required skills

• Strong experience building and reviewing complex financial models, including 3-way models, project finance and scenario modelling.
• Storytelling ability to present clear, compelling insights.
• Technical expertise in MS Excel including VBA and Power Query is essential.
• Experience in energy, project finance, infrastructure or cost modelling is highly valued.
