Manager - Corporate Tax, Private Clients

About the role

EY is hiring a Manager for its Private Tax team in Melbourne, working with privately owned corporate groups, high-net-worth individuals, family businesses and other private entities. The role is hybrid and can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of diverse growth clients including privately owned corporate groups, businesses, high-net-worth families, trusts and other privately owned entities.
• Oversee tax compliance, financial statements, planning and assist on advisory services for clients such as trusts, companies, partnerships and individuals.
• Work directly with Partners and senior Tax specialists on advice covering restructures, domestic transactions, capital gains tax, Division 7A and specific trust issues.

Required profile

• Tax consulting experience, ideally in a top-tier or second-tier accounting or legal firm.
• Experience managing junior staff and their development.
• Advanced tax technical knowledge relevant to corporate groups, individuals or trusts.
• Ideally, experience managing a client portfolio and tax experience gained in a professional services environment in Australia.
• Excellent client-facing skills, with the confidence to lead client meetings and build a network.
