Manager, APAC Recruiting

About the role

Anthropic is seeking a senior leader to own all hiring across the Asia‑Pacific region as the company expands its presence. Reporting to the Head of International Recruiting, you will act as the bridge between fast‑moving regional business needs and the global recruiting organization.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead APAC recruiting operations, creating scalable processes and infrastructure across key markets such as Japan, Korea, Australia, India, Singapore and emerging locations.
• Manage a team of APAC‑based recruiters covering G&A, GTM, and Tech functions while maintaining dotted‑line relationships with global recruiting leads.
• Partner with the Head of International Recruiting and regional leaders to develop localized talent‑acquisition strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Navigate complex regulatory environments, ensuring compliance with employment laws and data‑privacy regulations in each market (e.g., APPI, PIPA, Privacy Act, DPDP, PDPA).
• Serve as a cultural ambassador, facilitating cross‑cultural collaboration between US headquarters and APAC offices.
• Drive senior‑level searches, including regional “Head of” positions and other leadership roles.
• Implement recruiting strategies that leverage local market insights while maintaining global hiring standards.
• Collaborate extensively with HR, Legal, Finance, and global recruiting partners.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience leading talent‑acquisition teams in the APAC region.
• Proven ability to partner with senior business leaders and influence headcount decisions.
• Deep fluency in APAC talent markets and employment regulations.
• Strong executive presence and consultative communication style.
• Experience building scalable recruiting processes and infrastructure.
