Management Cost Accountant – Manufacturing Finance

About the role

Bradken is seeking a Management Cost Accountant to support its Australian manufacturing sites. You will work closely with site and finance teams to deliver accurate cost reporting, optimise expenses, and provide data‑driven insights for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with multiple manufacturing locations to ensure accurate product costing and variance analysis.
• Maintain data integrity for KPI tracking and financial reporting.
• Shape budgets, refine cost forecasts, and deliver actionable financial insights to stakeholders.
• Enhance financial models and support ERP system accuracy.
• Lead initiatives that improve plant flexibility, efficiency, and operational security.
• Oversee capital expenditure budgets, support fixed‑asset audits, and safeguard balance‑sheet integrity.

Required profile

• Qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related field; CPA or CA preferred.
• Experience in financial or operational finance within a heavy engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Proven background in budgeting, forecasting, and standard cost accounting.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute process‑improvement and value‑creation initiatives.
• Strong analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and stakeholder engagement.
