Management Accountant – Commercial Finance Role

About the role

CV Services is seeking a commercially‑focused Management Accountant to join its largest operating division in Brisbane. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will partner with operational leaders and project managers to provide commercial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting that drives profitability and strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and re‑forecasting processes for business units and projects.
• Monitor financial performance, deliver KPI dashboards, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Provide commercial analysis, actionable recommendations and margin improvement initiatives.
• Support project managers with profitability tracking, cost control and forecasting.
• Assist month‑end reporting, governance, financial controls and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce.
• CA or CPA qualification, or actively working towards completion.
• 3‑5 years’ experience in accounting, management accounting or commercial finance.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
• Power BI or other business intelligence reporting tools.
• Experience with ERP systems.
