Management Accountant - Bunbury Head Office

About the role

RCR Mining Technologies is seeking an experienced Management Accountant for its Bunbury head office, joining the Finance team in a permanent, full-time position. The role works closely with operational leaders to support the financial performance of businesses across manufacturing, parts sales and field services, providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis and strategic support. It combines technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen and requires applying Australian Accounting Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with operational leaders to deliver financial reporting, analysis, insights and recommendations.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting and performance review processes across assigned portfolios.
• Identify profitability drivers, business risks and opportunities to improve performance.
• Support strategic decisions through financial modelling, business cases, scenario analysis, tenders, pricing reviews and contract management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls and governance requirements.
• Communicate accounting requirements and financial impacts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Support audits, balance sheet reconciliations and financial investigations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes, reporting and controls.
• Provide leadership and development support to the Cost Controller and contribute to ad hoc projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, commerce or a related discipline.
• CPA or CA qualification, or currently working towards completion.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in management accounting, commercial finance, financial analysis or finance partnering roles.
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, performance management and business analysis.
• Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Desirable: postgraduate qualification; mining, manufacturing and resources experience; contract management, tender and pricing review experience; current Australian driver's licence.

Required skills

• Advanced financial modelling and business case development.
• Microsoft Excel.
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, financial governance and internal controls.
• Desirable: Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (F&O) or similar ERP systems.
