Maintenance Trades – Mechanical, Electrical & Auto‑Electrician (EOI)

About the role

Glencore’s Hunter Valley Operations are seeking experienced Mechanical, Auto‑Electrical and Electrical tradespeople to join the Maintenance Department. You will work on a range of mining equipment, diagnose faults and deliver routine and breakdown maintenance to keep the operation running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mining equipment in line with OEM specifications and site processes.
• Diagnose equipment faults, troubleshoot and restore functionality to minimise downtime.
• Provide routine maintenance and breakdown support for the HVO fleet.
• Follow all safety procedures, including “No Plan‑No Work” policies.

Required profile

• Relevant trade qualification (Mechanical, Auto‑Electrical or Electrical).
• Mining equipment OEM training and experience.
• Open‑cut coal mining experience – desirable.
• Experience with Operational Technology (OT) systems – desirable.
• Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems and SAP – desirable.
• Current valid manual Australian driver’s licence.
• Ability to work safely in a dynamic team environment.

Required skills

• Mechanical, auto‑electrical and electrical maintenance techniques.
• Fault diagnosis and repair of mining equipment.
• Understanding of OEM maintenance requirements.
• Use of CMMS and basic SAP knowledge.
• Operational Technology (OT) system awareness.
