Maintenance Technician (HcD) - Lake Cowal Mine

About the role

Orica is looking for a Maintenance Technician (HcD) to join its team at Lake Cowal Mine in West Wyalong, NSW. You will work with Orica's Hypercharge units, specialised mobile equipment used in blasting operations, helping them run safely, reliably and efficiently while giving technical support to Orica and customer teams. The role suits candidates living in West Wyalong or nearby regional NSW communities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support the Hypercharge units on site at Lake Cowal Mine
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and equipment performance issues
• Support safe, reliable and efficient equipment operation
• Provide technical guidance and support to equipment users
• Work with customers and team members to achieve operational goals
• Follow safety, quality and compliance requirements at all times

Required profile

• Experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting or operating machinery, equipment, vehicles or plant in any industry
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn new equipment and technologies
• Ability to meet pre-employment requirements, including a medical assessment and police clearance

Required skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem solving
• Beneficial: exposure to hydraulics, electrical systems, diagnostics or technical equipment (not essential)
