Maintenance Technician – Day Shift

About the role

Amazon is hiring permanent Maintenance Technicians for its Horsley Park site in Sydney. Working on a day‑shift schedule, you will keep material handling, automated packaging and distribution equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on all site equipment.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, communicate with affected teams and restore operation.
• Support continuous improvement by reporting faults and suggesting long‑term solutions.
• Maintain high equipment availability for internal customers.
• Assist senior technicians and carry out general building maintenance tasks.

Required profile

• Formal trade qualification: Certificate III in Electrotechnology with a current electrical licence, or Certificate III in Engineering, or Mechanical Trade (Fitter/Turner), or an equivalent Australian‑recognised qualification.
• Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems.
• Proven fault‑finding ability on material handling or automation equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Experience maintaining conveyors, motor controllers and inverters.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and regulations.
