Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

INDI Footscray, a build-to-rent property with 702 apartments, is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor. You will lead general repairs and upkeep across apartments and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting. You report to the General Manager and work with all stakeholders to keep the property safe, well maintained and running efficiently. After-hours and on-call work is essential.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all repairs and maintenance for apartments and common areas
• Coordinate contractors so that work is completed on time and in compliance
• Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations
• Manage preventative maintenance programs and schedules
• Provide after-hours and on-call emergency support

Required profile

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia
• State driver's licence (Class C preferred)
• Trade qualification in mechanical engineering, electrical, plumbing or a related field is desirable
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
