Maintenance Officer – Marine Assets

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Maintenance Officer to service and maintain our marine assets across multiple Tasmanian sites. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will work full‑time from our Margate location, travelling as needed to support vessels and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on vessels, mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults to keep equipment operating at peak performance.
• Travel between sites to carry out maintenance tasks and support ongoing projects.
• Collaborate with team members to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
• Source and manage spare‑parts inventory to guarantee availability.

Required profile

• Strong aptitude for mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
• Basic knowledge of 12‑24 V electrical systems.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies.
• Proficiency in welding and fabrication.
