Maintenance Leading Hand

About the role

EnerMech is seeking a Maintenance Leading Hand to work onsite in Henderson, WA. This full‑time, hands‑on trade leadership position involves diagnosing mechanical faults, coordinating workshop activities and ensuring equipment is safely prepared, certified and mobilised for project needs.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and lead fault‑finding, diagnosis, repair, testing and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
• Provide troubleshooting support for compressors, pumps, diesel engines, nitrogen equipment, air dryers and hydraulic systems.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring failures and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate daily workshop tasks and give technical guidance to trades, contractors and support personnel.
• Oversee equipment preparation, inspection, testing and readiness for mobilisation and demobilisation.
• Ensure maintenance, certification, inspections and documentation are complete before equipment release.
• Manage routine and ad‑hoc maintenance of facilities, workshops, yards and supporting infrastructure.

Required profile

• Mechanical trade qualification (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Diesel Mechanic) or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands‑on maintenance and troubleshooting experience in industrial, energy, pipeline or heavy‑equipment environments.
• Experience coordinating trades, contractors, workshop priorities and equipment mobilisation.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, diesel, hydraulic and pneumatic faults using a structured approach.
• Current driver’s licence and ability to meet site access requirements.
