Maintenance Fitter

About the role

As a Maintenance Fitter at Kraft Heinz you will ensure the smooth operation and reliability of plant machinery and equipment. You will perform breakdown repairs, preventative maintenance and annual overhauls while identifying improvements that boost efficiency and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify faults and carry out breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Inspect, test, maintain, repair, strip, replace and re‑assemble mechanical equipment.
• Support machine and product changeovers to keep lines running efficiently.
• Maintain and overhaul pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, palletisers, packaging equipment and related machinery.
• Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of mechanical equipment.
• Carry out general plant and building maintenance as required.
• Support improvement projects, equipment refurbishments and reliability initiatives.
• Work with planners to improve PM task lists, work instructions, scheduling and parts readiness.
• Complete maintenance records, work orders and reports accurately and on time.

Required profile

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar production environment is preferred.
