Maintenance Electrician

About the role

The Maintenance Electrician is based at our Heatherbrae facility and reports to the Maintenance Team Leader – Electrical. You will deliver both planned and reactive electrical maintenance to ensure reliable plant operations, focusing on fault finding, PLC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned and breakdown electrical maintenance on site equipment.
• Conduct fault finding, repairs and diagnostics on plant and machinery.
• Program and troubleshoot PLC systems and industrial control equipment.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections according to schedule.
• Record maintenance activities and faults in the MEX system.
• Respond promptly to breakdowns and production requests.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve OEE.
• Collaborate with production teams to maintain quality and output targets.

Required profile

• Strong safety‑first mindset with a commitment to reliable, high‑performing equipment.
• Recognised electrical trade qualification and current electrical licence.
• Proven experience in fault finding, preventative maintenance and supporting production outcomes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet operational targets.
• Clear communication, attention to detail and adherence to procedures.
