Maintenance Assistant

About the role

As a Maintenance Assistant at FV by Peppers in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley, you will be responsible for maintaining the apartments, pool, gym, cinema and other communal areas, ensuring they remain in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain rooms, amenities and communal spaces, performing repairs, painting and improvements as needed.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and respond to urgent issues such as leaks.
• Collaborate with the team and communicate with managers, guests and contractors.
• Work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• Physically fit with a proactive “get‑up‑and‑go” attitude.
• Experience in general building maintenance – basic carpentry, plumbing or electrical (no formal qualification required).
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and clear communication at all levels.
• Availability to work flexible shifts.
