Maintenance Assistant

About the role

As a Maintenance Assistant at Mantra One, you will be the go‑to person for all repair, upkeep and improvement tasks across the boutique hotel. You will proactively identify issues before they become problems and use your practical tools to keep the property in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain rooms, amenities and communal areas to a high standard.
• Collaborate with a diverse team while also working independently when needed.
• Address a variety of maintenance challenges with innovative solutions.
• Carry out routine and preventative maintenance projects as required.

Required profile

• Physically fit with a “get‑up‑and‑go” attitude and a commitment to completing tasks safely and neatly.
• Previous hands‑on experience in general building maintenance, including basic carpentry, plumbing or electrical work (no formal qualification required).
• Strong problem‑solving ability and clear communication with managers, guests and contractors.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
