Duty Manager – Hospitality Venue

About the role

Black Buffalo is seeking a hands‑on, people‑focused Duty Manager to support the Venue Manager in delivering a seamless guest experience across its bar, gaming, bistro and accommodation areas. You will be the first point of contact for guests, keep operations running smoothly, and mentor the team on‑shift.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Venue Manager with day‑to‑day operations across all venue areas.
• Lead the on‑site team to provide exceptional service and maintain high standards.
• Coordinate front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house activities to ensure efficient workflows.
• Handle opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, till reconciliation and daily reporting.
• Address guest enquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety, liquor licensing, RSA and RCG requirements.

Required profile

• Hands‑on, people‑focused attitude with a passion for hospitality.
• Ability to lead by example and motivate a diverse team.
• Strong guest service orientation and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced venue environment covering bar, gaming, food service and accommodation.
