Mainframe Application Developer (12‑month contract)

About the role

Centorrino Technologies is looking for a Mainframe Application Developer to join a collaborative technical team in Darwin. This 12‑month full‑time contract focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise mainframe applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance mainframe application code and supporting systems.
• Assist in testing, debugging, and deployment of system changes.
• Support integration and interface development across systems.
• Participate in release activities across development, test, and production environments.
• Contribute to technical documentation and support materials.
• Provide issue resolution and production support.
• Work collaboratively within project teams to deliver enhancements.

Required profile

• Experience in mainframe application development environments.
• Knowledge of COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and SQL.
• Understanding of the system development lifecycle and release processes.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Experience working in team‑based delivery settings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical specifications.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
• Exposure to enterprise or government ICT environments is a plus.
