M&A Lawyer (2+ PQE)

About the role

Bluefin is working exclusively with a global firm to appoint a 2+ PQE M&A lawyer to join its growing corporate legal team. The majority of the work focuses on private M&A, including founder-led businesses selling to private equity firms, with a diverse international client base and exposure to sophisticated transactions. You will work directly with experienced Partners from leading international law firm backgrounds, with hands-on involvement in transactions from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on mid-market and larger private M&A transactions, including international and multinational deals, buy-side transactions and founder-led businesses selling to private equity
• Handle corporate reorganisations and restructures, private client and family trust work, fund formation and financial services licensing and advisory
• Work closely with Partners and take early responsibility in transactions
• Benefit from a collaborative, mentoring-focused team and opportunities for international mobility and secondments

Required profile

• Around 2 years PQE, with flexibility either side for the right person
• Background in a top-tier, mid-tier or highly regarded boutique corporate practice, an M&A, corporate or broader transactional practice, or an in-house role with strong corporate or transactional experience
• Experience in M&A transactions (acquisitions and disposals), drafting and negotiating transaction documents, due diligence and transaction management, corporate restructures, general corporate and commercial advisory, and working directly with clients and senior stakeholders
