Logistics Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee safe, efficient and customer‑focused delivery of terminal and logistics operations at our Kalgoorlie rail terminal. Reporting to the Terminal Operations Manager, you will lead frontline teams to achieve high safety, service and operational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Sustain a safety culture by implementing all safety standards, systems and initiatives.
• Achieve agreed DIFOT levels and on‑time running to meet customer expectations and contractual KPIs.
• Develop and monitor financial budgets, control costs and maximise revenue.
• Manage asset utilisation and labour productivity to improve financial results.
• Maximise sales and freight opportunities and capitalise on growth.
• Collaborate with other teams to optimise resources and meet business objectives.
• Allocate, utilise and deploy resources to satisfy operational and customer needs.
• Provide frontline leadership throughout the employee life‑cycle.
• Develop methods for safe resolution of non‑routine problems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics and/or rail terminal environment.
• Previous line‑leadership experience in large‑scale logistics or heavy industrial organisations.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with diverse work groups.
• High interpersonal skills for cross‑functional communication.
• Understanding of people issues and their business impact.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to optimise processes.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP (preferred).
• Ample computer skills and use of operational systems.
