Litigation Officer

About the role

We are looking for motivated individuals to join our Litigation and Legal Services team as Litigation Officers. In this role you will handle less complex litigation matters under the supervision of senior staff, contributing to the delivery of legal advice and dispute resolution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare briefs for counsel.
• Draft court documents, correspondence and manage case timelines.
• Assist in dispute resolution processes and, where required, appear in hearings for debt recovery, tax technical and administrative law matters.
• Work both autonomously and collaboratively to support senior litigators on more complex cases.
• Share knowledge, support continuous improvement initiatives and help enhance litigation practices, policy technology and reporting.

Required profile

• Motivated and able to work under guidance of senior staff.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage case timeframes.
• Willingness to work in a dynamic, team‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Legal research.
• Preparation of briefs and court documents.
• Understanding of debt recovery, tax technical and administrative law processes.
