Liquidity Risk Manager

About the role

As a Liquidity Risk Manager within ING's Market Risk team, you will help maintain a strong and sustainable liquidity and funding position for one of Australia’s leading digital banks. You will work at the intersection of risk, treasury and strategy, influencing key risk decisions and providing independent oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development and ongoing enhancement of liquidity and funding risk frameworks, policies and risk appetite.
• Design, execute and analyse liquidity stress testing to assess risk exposures under a range of market scenarios.
• Deliver timely and insightful liquidity and funding risk reporting to senior management, committees and regulators.
• Provide independent review and challenge of liquidity risk management practices and assumptions.
• Partner with Treasury, Risk and business stakeholders to support sound risk‑based decision making.

Required profile

• Proven knowledge of liquidity and funding risk management, stress testing and prudential requirements.
• 5+ years’ experience in liquidity risk, treasury risk or a related risk discipline within banking.
• Understanding of APRA standards and broader regulatory developments impacting liquidity risk.
• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Studies or a related quantitative discipline.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
