Linux/Unix Consultant – Server Operations (Sydney)

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Consultant to lead Linux/Unix server operations for a Sydney‑based customer environment. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of servers, from build and deployment to ongoing monitoring, patching and performance tuning.

Key responsibilities

• Build, run, patch and monitor RHEL/Linux and Unix servers across physical, virtual and cloud workloads.
• Manage user/group accounts, filesystems/LVM, services, package updates and kernel patches.
• Coordinate support for workloads on VMware/ESX, AWS, Azure, GCP and OCI.
• Oversee 24x7 monitoring, incident, change, problem and service request management.
• Plan and execute patch cycles, validate changes and remediate vulnerabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Linux/Unix system administration.
• Hands‑on knowledge of server lifecycle management and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with hybrid working environments and 24x7 support models.
