About the role

Narada Consulting is seeking an experienced Linux Specialist to support a major ICT modernisation project for a defence client. The role focuses on building, hardening and automating RHEL environments across secure, resilient systems.

Key responsibilities

Build, configure and support Linux/RHEL systems in defence ICT environments.
Provide expertise in Linux security hardening, monitoring and automated system builds.
Develop and maintain scripts and Ansible playbooks to streamline deployment.
Produce and peer‑review SOPs, build guides and technical documentation.

Required profile

Security clearance (AGSVA) required – level to be determined on application.
Proven experience with RHEL 7/8/9, Ansible, GitLab and ELK Stack.

Required skills

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 7/8/9) administration and hardening.
Ansible automation and GitLab CI/CD.
YUM package management and Linux scripting.
Elastic Stack (ELK) for log aggregation and monitoring.
Virtualised, hyper‑converged, container and distributed environments.
System monitoring, security tools and automated configuration management.
