Linux Administrator (Japanese Language)

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Linux Administrator who is fluent in Japanese to support our enterprise Linux environments and work directly with Japanese clients and stakeholders. The role involves managing servers, troubleshooting issues, and automating routine tasks while ensuring high availability and security.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, SUSE).
• Perform system administration, monitoring, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Manage user accounts, groups, permissions, file systems, LVM, RAID, and backup/recovery processes.
• Configure networking services such as DNS, DHCP, SSH, NFS, and FTP.
• Apply OS patches, upgrades, and conduct regular system health checks.
• Troubleshoot server, application, and network issues.
• Support virtualization platforms like VMware and KVM.
• Automate tasks using Bash, Shell, or Python scripts.
• Collaborate with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams.
• Prepare technical documentation, runbooks, and participate in on‑call support.
• Communicate effectively with Japanese clients during meetings and project discussions.

Required profile

• 4–8 years of hands‑on Linux system administration experience.
• Proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N2 or N1 preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Japanese.
