About the role

An established FMCG manufacturer located near Hurstville is looking for a Linehaul Transport Allocator. The role is central to coordinating interstate freight, a responsibility management regards as one of the most critical in the business. The company supplies bulk bakery and food ingredients, including canned, frozen and concentrated fruits, to industrial manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate daily delivery schedules and delegate duties to personnel.
• Monitor driver routes and deliveries while managing fatigue.
• Coordinate daily shipments and record data against tight deadlines.
• Maintain carrier relationships so that dispatches are consistent, on time and complete.
• Control the scheduling of all arrivals and dispatches.
• Provide clear direction and support to warehouse staff with a calm and concise demeanour.
• Handle carrier portals and online pallet systems efficiently.
• Solve operational challenges with a strategic mindset.

Required profile

• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of the food transport industry.
• Understanding of National Freight company rate card structures.
• Self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Sapphire One is preferred but not essential.
