Lifeguard - Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre

About the role

Lismore City Council is recruiting Lifeguards for its Aquatics team at the Goonellabah Sports & Aquatic Centre and Lismore Memorial Baths. The role is available as part of a Casual team or as a Permanent Part-time position, and suits people who enjoy working with people, are passionate about aquatics and want to deliver good customer service while keeping safety as the top priority. Day shifts are required.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor pool activities, encourage safe behaviour and respond quickly to incidents or emergencies
• Assist with customer service, cleaning and general facility upkeep
• Deliver a safe, welcoming and enjoyable experience for all visitors

Required profile

• Available to work during the day
• Willingness to obtain First Aid and Pool Lifeguard certification
• Working with Children Check completed before starting
• Drivers licence
• Royal Life Pool Bronze Medallion desirable

What we offer

• Permanent Part-time: 12 hours per week, option to be fixed term until May 2027, salary $32.57-$34.53 per hour plus superannuation
