Licensing Consultant (Software Asset Management)

About the role

Data#3 is looking for a Licensing Consultant to join its National Software Advisory team. You will help government, commercial and not-for-profit customers understand software licensing and get more value from their spend. The role sits within the Licensing and Asset Management service, which is being designed and launched, and you will work alongside experienced consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Optimise licensing across Microsoft and other major vendors to reduce costs
• Deliver ongoing managed licensing services
• Help design and launch new Licensing and SAM services
• Support customers with complex agreements, including government
• Present recommendations to procurement, IT and executive stakeholders
• Partner with sales and technical teams to grow customer engagement

Required profile

• Experience in software licensing, SAM, procurement, IT or consulting
• Analytical mindset, comfortable working with data and costs
• Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders
• Detail-focused, sound judgement and collaborative
• Government or enterprise customer experience a plus; keen to build and improve services

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft licensing, with interest in deepening it
• Exposure to other vendors such as Adobe and Oracle is a plus
• ITIL, FinOps, ITAM or similar certifications are an advantage
