Level 1 IT Support Consultant (Helpdesk Technician)

About the role

GravIT is an IT management and web hosting provider serving small, medium and large clients across the Geelong region for over 25 years. As part of its growth, the recruiter is looking for several career-focused people to join the team as Level 1 Helpdesk Technicians. The position is full-time, based in Geelong, with a salary of AUD 60,000 to 80,000 per year; benefits are negotiable depending on experience.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for IT enquiries by phone or email, addressing or escalating client queries as needed.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including setting up and removing hardware, software and access rights.
• Create, modify and delete email accounts on cPanel and Office365, ensuring proper configuration and access.
• Troubleshoot common IT issues, guide users through step-by-step solutions and escalate complex problems to higher-level support.
• Maintain up-to-date records of interactions, problems and resolutions in GravIT's Job Management System.
• Stay current with new technologies and software updates, using the training offered by GravIT.
