Legal Counsel - Australia/New Zealand Qualified

About the role

Fever, a global tech platform for culture and live entertainment, is hiring a Legal Counsel to support its operations worldwide, with an emphasis on APAC. The role sits at Fever's headquarters in Madrid, Spain, and involves proactive, autonomous legal support for corporate, commercial, compliance and litigation matters, including drafting and negotiating commercial agreements with commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general legal support by adapting company legal strategy to regional business needs in APAC and common law markets
• Work with internal and external SMEs to deliver corporate, commercial, compliance, litigation and dispute support to the region
• Keep up to date with legislative and jurisprudential developments in the region
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external legal advisors to prioritise and manage complex legal matters
• Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, terms and conditions in multiple jurisdictions
• Contribute to company knowledge and documents, including preparing and revising templates and legal guides
• Prioritise work according to company strategy and objectives, and support the upskilling and growth of other team members

Required profile

• Barred or practising lawyer in Australia or New Zealand with 4+ years of PQE in top-tier law firms or in-house experience at a large-scale multinational
• Demonstrable experience on pan-Asia projects and familiarity with business cultures across the region
• Fluent English and working proficiency in another language relevant to the market
• Ability to turn complex legal issues into business outcomes, strong technical skills and good communication
• Willingness to relocate to Madrid, with flexibility on timing
