Legal Counsel – APAC (ANZ)

About the role

Join the APAC in‑house Legal team of Publicis Re:Sources, supporting ANZ agencies across Publicis Groupe’s creative, media, PR and technology businesses. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior and executive stakeholders on high‑value client and vendor engagements, fast‑moving pitches, and matters at the intersection of advertising, media, data, technology, procurement and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Support major pitches and RFP responses, including contract mark‑ups and client change tables, balancing commercial outcomes, speed and risk.
• Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial agreements such as client MSAs/PSAs, SOWs, NDAs, letters of intent and memoranda of understanding.
• Identify transaction risks and recommend fallback positions covering liability caps, service credits, audit rights, indemnities, insurance, IP ownership/licensing and termination.
• Partner with agency stakeholders and Procurement on contracting strategy, template use and contract governance.
• Advise on advertising and marketing law matters, including copy and trademark clearance, promotions, social campaigns and compliance with relevant codes and platform policies.
• Provide IP and content advice throughout campaign lifecycles, including talent and vendor arrangements.
• Support technology, data and digital engagements, covering SaaS terms, software development, licensing of third‑party data systems and digital marketing arrangements.
• Assist with corporate change projects, dispute management, external counsel supervision and company secretarial matters for ANZ entities.

Required profile

• Qualified legal professional with experience advising senior stakeholders on commercial contracts, advertising and marketing law, IP, technology and data matters.
• Proven ability to work under tight timeframes and manage complex, multi‑jurisdictional transactions.
• Strong commercial acumen and risk‑assessment skills.
