Legal Counsel – ANZ Manufacturing & Supply

About the role

Diageo is seeking a commercially‑minded Legal Counsel to join its ANZ Legal Team. You will support manufacturing, supply and procurement operations across Australia and New Zealand, providing practical, risk‑based advice that enables the business to move quickly and confidently.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with ANZ Supply and Procurement teams to deliver legal advice on manufacturing, supply‑chain and operational matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including procurement, logistics, warehousing, contract manufacturing and supply contracts.
• Advise on legal and regulatory issues affecting manufacturing and supply, such as consumer law, product safety, food standards, labelling, environmental obligations, recalls and mandatory reporting.
• Act as a trusted business partner to supply‑chain leadership, helping them navigate risk, resolve issues and make informed decisions.
• Support strategic projects and day‑to‑day operational matters, leveraging Diageo’s global legal network and APAC IP & Brand Protection teams.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with experience in commercial contracts and regulatory matters.
• Demonstrated commercial acumen and ability to provide pragmatic advice in a fast‑moving environment.
• Experience working with manufacturing, supply‑chain or procurement functions, preferably in a multinational setting.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with a collaborative approach.
