Legal AI Business Development Lawyer

About the role

CORTO is seeking a practising lawyer to join its fast‑growing legal‑tech team in Sydney. You will combine your legal expertise with a commercial mindset to help law firms understand and adopt CORTO’s AI‑driven solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Engage and convert prospective customers, partners and referral sources across the legal industry.
• Lead discovery conversations and product demonstrations for law firms.
• Collaborate with the CMO to align business‑development activities with marketing campaigns, events and market positioning.
• Work closely with the CEO on strategic channel opportunities and partner‑led growth.
• Represent CORTO at webinars, industry events and partner meetings.
• Translate customer and partner feedback into actionable insights for product, marketing and leadership teams.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as a practising lawyer or legally trained professional.
• Strong understanding of law‑firm operations, including matters, client service, time recording, billing and invoicing.
• Commercial curiosity and genuine interest in moving into sales or business development within legal technology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
