Lecturer - Undergraduate and Postgraduate Teaching

About the role

Curtin University is hiring a Lecturer to deliver full-time, on-site teaching and learning activities to undergraduate and/or postgraduate students at its Martin campus in Western Australia. The university is an internationally focused research and teaching institution with campuses in Dubai, Malaysia, Mauritius and Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present lectures and tutorials, and develop and update course materials
• Assess student work and give timely academic feedback
• Supervise student projects and keep accurate records of student progress
• Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement
• Engage in relevant research or scholarly activities
• Take part in school and university committees, collaborate with colleagues and support an inclusive, respectful learning environment

Required profile

• Demonstrated expertise in the relevant academic discipline and the ability to teach at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
• A relevant postgraduate qualification (typically a doctorate or master's degree)
• Eligibility to work in Western Australia
• Commitment to inclusive, culturally safe and non-discriminatory practices, and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team

Required skills

• Course design, curriculum development and assessment aligned with contemporary pedagogical practices
• Classroom delivery, student engagement and facilitation of active learning, including educational technologies
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including giving clear feedback
• Strong organisational and time-management skills for teaching, assessment and administrative work
