Lecturer - Social Work (Master of Social Work)

About the role

We are seeking a Lecturer for the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) program at Acknowledge Education. The role involves developing, delivering and continuously improving the curriculum while ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework and providing a student‑centred learning experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver face‑to‑face teaching sessions and student engagement activities.
• Create learning resources such as study guides, webinars and assessment instructions.
• Provide academic support to students via face‑to‑face, LMS, telephone or email.
• Mark assessments in line with moderation policies and give constructive feedback.
• Identify students at risk, develop individual learning plans and liaise with support services.
• Maintain and update subject sites on the Learning Management System.

Required profile

• PhD in Social Work (completed or in progress) or a Master’s in Social Work with at least 5 years teaching experience.
• Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Proven experience developing tertiary curricula and teaching materials.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate delivery of university subjects.
• High professional and ethical standards, resilience and collaborative approach.

Required skills

• Learning Management System (LMS) administration.
