About the role

University of Wollongong is seeking a Lecturer, Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor in Educational Leadership to join its School of Education. The successful academic will contribute to high‑quality teaching, research and programme development, preparing future school and system leaders across Australia.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Educational Leadership.
• Innovate curriculum and support the development of new programmes.
• Conduct and publish impactful research aligned with educational leadership.
• Supervise Honours, Masters and higher‑degree‑by‑research students.
• Participate in governance, service and professional activities within the School.
• Provide academic leadership and support strategic growth of the discipline (for Levels C and D).
• Maintain regular on‑campus presence for face‑to‑face teaching and student engagement.

Required profile

• Doctoral qualification in Educational Leadership or a closely related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in Educational Leadership within the Australian education context.
• Strong record of teaching excellence and curriculum innovation.
• Developing (Level B), established (Level C) or nationally recognised (Level D) research profile.
• Evidence of leadership in governance, service or professional engagement (increasing with level).
