Lecturer / Senior Lecturer – Employment Relations & Future of Work

About the role

The Department of Management at Monash University is seeking a Lecturer (Level B) or Senior Lecturer (Level C) with expertise in Employment Relations and the Future of Work. The successful candidate will join a globally recognised research and teaching community, contributing to high‑impact scholarship and delivering engaging learning experiences to diverse undergraduate and postgraduate cohorts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver high‑quality teaching for large, culturally diverse student groups.
• Maintain an active research agenda, publishing in top‑tier refereed journals (A/A* ABDC list).
• Supervise PhD and postgraduate research students.
• Secure external research funding and lead collaborative projects (senior level).
• Participate in departmental governance, curriculum development, and industry engagement.

Required profile

• Strong record of publications in leading management or employment‑relations journals.
• Demonstrated excellence in university‑level teaching and curriculum design.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across academic and service sectors.
• For senior candidates: experience in leading research teams, obtaining external grants, and supervising postgraduate scholars.
