Learning Lead – Donor Experience

About the role

Lifeblood is seeking a Learning Lead to shape the future of learning for its Donor Experience workforce. Based in Queensland (or Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney), you will lead a regional learning team, develop capability strategies and ensure staff have the skills to deliver safe, high‑quality donor experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a regional learning team, setting direction and building a high‑performing culture.
• Develop and execute a clinical capability strategy aligned with operational priorities.
• Design and deliver onboarding, workplace coaching, and competency development programmes.
• Partner with operational leaders to identify capability gaps and create practical learning solutions.
• Use learning data and clinical outcomes to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide clear direction, support and accountability during periods of change.

Required profile

• Proven people‑leadership experience, especially in learning or development teams.
• Experience managing geographically dispersed teams across multiple locations.
• Strong understanding of adult learning principles and workplace learning.
• Ability to influence stakeholders, communicate effectively and build trusted relationships.
• Track record of using data to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
• Background in healthcare, donor services, clinical education or a regulated environment is highly regarded.
