Learning Area Leader (Inclusive Learning)

About the role

The Learning Area Leader (Inclusive Learning) reports to the Vice Rector Learning Improvement & Innovation and provides strategic and operational leadership for inclusive curriculum design, contemporary pedagogy, student support and compliance with inclusive education standards at Padua College.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive a vision for inclusive learning aligned with the College’s Learning Framework.
• Lead, mentor and coach a multidisciplinary team including Learning Guardians, Speech Pathologists and Teacher Aides.
• Build staff capability in differentiation, Universal Design for Learning and co‑teaching practices.
• Oversee faculty operations, processes and budget management.
• Ensure curriculum and assessment meet regulatory requirements and promote digital pedagogies that enhance accessibility.
• Champion data‑informed teaching, lead NCCD compliance and support at‑risk learners academically, socially and emotionally.
• Lead professional learning teams, collaborate with Heads of School and foster a culture of reflective practice.
• Embed the Franciscan ethos across teaching and learning and support faith formation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in leading inclusive education programmes within a school setting.
• Ability to design and implement inclusive curricula and personalised learning plans.
• Strong knowledge of NCCD processes and data‑driven intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated capacity to manage multidisciplinary teams and budgets.
• Commitment to the Catholic and Franciscan values of the College.
